About
A directory you can take at its word.
PoolCabinFinder is an independent travel publisher about vacation stays with private pools across the United States: destination guides, pool-type guides and hand-checked listings. We don’t take bookings. We help you find the right place, then send you to the booking site.
How we verify a pool
Every listing is published on one of two bases, and the listing says which.
Owner-verified listings
The owner or property manager confirms in writing:
- that the pool is on the property and private to the booking party (no shared resort or community pools);
- whether it is outdoor, indoor or covered;
- whether it is heated, and on what terms (year-round, seasonal, on request, or with a fee);
- guest capacity, bedrooms and bathrooms;
- that they own or control the rights to the photos they send us.
The listing shows the date of that confirmation and the role of the person who gave it.
Editorial listings
We can also list a property without the owner’s involvement, when its details are substantiated by published sources: the property’s own website, its manager’s listing, or a booking platform. Each key fact (that the pool is private, its setting and heating, capacity, bedrooms and location) must be supported by a source we cite on the listing, with the date we checked it. Editorial listings are clearly labelled and are never presented as owner-verified.
On both bases, every photo shows the actual property and is licensed for our use, whether from the owner, the manager, the photographer or another rights holder. We never use stock photos to represent a property.
We don’t infer a pool from photos alone, and we don’t publish rates, availability or reviews, because those belong on the booking site, where they are kept current.
Terms can change. Always confirm pool dates, heating and any fees with your host when you book. If something on a listing is wrong, or you own a property and want an editorial listing corrected, verified or removed, email us.
How we make money
Affiliate links. Some “Check availability” buttons on listing pages may be affiliate links. If you book through one, we may earn a commission from the booking site, at no extra cost to you. Pages with affiliate links say so, and the links are marked for search engines as sponsored.
Sponsored placements. Owners and managers can pay for featured placement. Sponsored listings are always labelled “Sponsored” and must be owner-verified.
Advertising. We don’t show display ads today. If we do in future, they’ll be few, clearly labelled, and never inside listing galleries or booking panels.
Payment never changes whether or how a pool is verified.
Photo credits
Editorial, collection and destination photos are licensed stock images. They illustrate a place or an idea and do not show any listed property. Listing photos show the actual property and are licensed for our use; credits appear on each listing.
